Big changes to your Pace Membership
For over the past year, I’ve been in two groups on Pace.
One is one of the very longest-running groups on Pace - the first men’s group in our history that originally came together around all being #girldad’s and has gone real deep on some of the worst shit that can happen in life.
The other? It’s an eclectic set of diverse professionals who are understanding how we each want work to define us (or not). It’s an incredibly funny and self-aware crew.
Together they’ve changed my life, giving me perspective, ideas, tears, and friendship that I never would have found otherwise.
For most of that year, I’ve asked how to bring a similar experience to all of you. Some of you have already taken that upon yourselves, joining multiple groups at a time and just paying twice. I think we can do better for you. And today we’re sharing two big changes and improvements to how Pace works.
Introducing the new Pace Session: 75min to Check In, (go deep), and Check Out. Every week. Less fussing over ‘what’re we doing this week?’ More inquiry and humanity. Starts 5 minutes later to give you time to start on-time.
Your Pace Membership: join up to 3 groups at a time. Meet more and different like-minded people. And more in your membership coming soon. All for $89/month.
We’re rolling these changes out over the next several days so bear with us, but your facilitator knows the drill so you’re in good hands.
Read more below if you want more detail. And thank you for being a part of Pace.
Thanks,
Jack, Co-founder and CEO

1. *The* Pace Session: go further in 75 minutes than you used to go in 90
Months ago we set out to design a simpler, consistent Pace Session that would get through more with more depth AND do so in less time. We’ve done it. It takes 75 minutes. And we’re just calling it Session.
Session sounds simple - “Check In. (go deep). Check Out.” And it is. But it’s designed to get you all to the center of group quickly. A simple Check In and Check Out that’ll sandwich a few members in the spotlight. It’s simple, and it’ll be the same every week, every group on Pace. Your facilitator’s a pro and has all the details.
We’ve also heard from many of you, and seen in our own data, that many groups start in earnest ~6-7 minutes into the 90. That makes sense - I know I’m often running for a bio break after my last Zoom meeting of the day before session. To make sure we’re respecting everyone’s time with our 75 minutes, we’re also moving all group start times back five minutes - your 4:30pm group will now start at 4:35pm every week and go for 75 minutes.
If you’re lamenting those last few minutes lost as we all get used to this change, you’re welcome to stick around the room to continue to connect after 75min is over - we won’t kick you out of course :). And if you try it for a while and still can’t get used to it: send me a note and I’ll see what we can do.
2. Your Pace Membership: join up to 3 groups at the same time for $89/month
Last year, some members started joining two groups at the same time. Sometimes they just wanted to try out another group without leaving. But more often than not, they just wanted to be in two groups at once. A parents group and a men’s group. A professionals group and a loneliness group. A women’s group and a Gen Z group. You get the picture.
We thought that was so great. So we started thinking about how to make that happen for more of you. Today we’re announcing that your same monthly Pace membership ($89) will give you access to up to three groups at once. Whoa.
Moving to a true membership also gives us space to add more to it over time, so look for more coming down the pipe before the end of the year.
